JUST A PILGRIM HERE, by Rhonda McGuire

 Psalm 84:5

“Blessed is the man whose strength is in You.

Whose heart is set on pilgrimage.”

This world is not my home

I’m just a pilgrim here

Designed by The Master

To help others draw near

To The One Who cast the stars

To The One Who calms the sea

His pilgrim and sojourner

On the path to eternity

I’m a citizen of Heaven

At the cross He sealed my life

I’ll not wander aimlessly

With Jesus at my side

Time is but a vapor

His purposes divine

May I lead many a wanderer

On the journey of all time

Set my mind on things above

And not on earthly things

A heavenly mansion awaits all

Who will place their trust in Him

A sovereign journey, set before us

A path He’s made ever clear

This world is not my home

I’m just a pilgrim here…

Hide His Word In Your Heart! It's everything...

The amazing thing about God's Word, is when we hide it in our hearts...

When we hide God's Word in our heart, He can use it when we need direction, when we're weary, when we're unsure, when we're tempted, when we're waivering, when we're rejoicing...

This verse was a memory verse from our old Tuesday Night study group, and all of the verses we memorized in that group, and in my personal studies are indeed, and thankfully, buried in my heart.

The best part about it, when I need them, they're there... The Lord can use them to lift me up, encourage me, set me back on the right path... I can call upon His name, by drawing from His promises...

The Psalmist said, "I have hidden Your Word in my heart that I might not sin against you." Psalm 119:11 and we're encouraged to write His Word on our hearts, and to meditate on it day and night...

God's Word is powerful. Even Jesus, when He was in the wilderness and was under attack from satan didn't come up with an analogy, instead He said, "It is written"... He quoted His Father's Words because there was power in it...

So let us hide His Word in our hearts. Lord help us to bury it our hearts, for there is life in them.

Blessings, Rhonda 5/3/20

With Heaven In View - Let It Be Me

WITH HEAVEN IN VIEW

There is a flame, a holy fire
That burns with purpose, godly desire
Longing to ignite, the work of God
Upon this soil, our earthly trod

Who can be used, to ignite this flame?
Lay down all, for Jesus’ name
Let it be me, til Christ’s Sovereign rule
Ignite my heart, Your love the fuel

There is a flame, a holy fire
That burns with purpose, godly desire
Take my moments, and all my days
Further the kingdom, til all else fades

Use the time, You’ve granted me
Each day a hope, of ministry
Walking wisely, with my Father’s eyes
For me to live is Christ for other’s lives

There is a flame, a holy fire
That burns with purpose; godly desire
Longing to ignite the work of God
Upon this soil, our earthly trod

Who can be used to ignite this flame?
Lay down all for Jesus’ name
Let it be me, til Your Sovereign rule
Ignite my heart; Your love the fuel…
